一碳单位

某些氨基酸在分解代谢过程中产生的含有一个碳原子的基团（包括甲基、甲烯基等），称为一碳单位。一碳单位不能游离存在，通常与四氢叶酸结合，其主要生理功能为参与核苷酸的生物合成。
