Why may textual connectives not be easy to learn?

Textual connectives may not be easy to learn, for there is a cultural contrast underlying them. The English speaking people emphasize explicit cohesiveness, so English relies heavily on textual connectives for textual cohesiveness. In contrast, the Chinese people values simplicity, therefore in Chinese texts if the logical relations between sentences can be understood, in many cases they can, without the aid of textual connectives, textual connectives do not have to appear.
