简述存货的功能和成本。

存货的功能是指存货在生产经营过程中的作用，概括起来主要有：(1)储存必要的原材料和在产品，以保证生产的正常进行。(2)储存必要的产成品，有利于销售。(3)适当储存各种存货，便于组织均衡生产，降低产品成本。要持有一定数量的存货，必定会有一定的成本支出。存货成本包括：取得成本、储存成本和缺货成本。
