①Aborigines do not own the land: they are part of it. ②They are its custodians, believing that ancestral beings created the plants, animals, people, and places during a period called the Dreaming, or the Dreamtime. ③The Dreaming is seen as a creative time that had a beginning but has no foreseeable end: it signifies the continuity of life, unlimited by space and time.
