假如A公司抵押前已将两辆汽车出租，那么该抵押是否有效？为什么？

有效。

因为抵押是不转移财产的占有的，所有设定抵押的财产在抵押期间并不改变它的使用权，如果抵押财产原来已经出租。出租继续有效，设定抵押并不影响承租人对财产的使用。
