“以公理而灭私情”

这是丘濬思想主张，他认为，法律一经制定颁行，朝野上下“必守之以信”，“朝廷所当世守，法司所当遵守”，无论最高统治者还是一般司法官吏，都“不可不守国家之法”，而恪守法制的关键是秉公而去私，“一惟以公理而灭私情”，故曰应执法上以公去私。
