‘‘大一统”意识强调“四海一家”，是西周以来就已成就的国家观念。重关九译，四裔来朝，是古代王朝引以为荣的大事。它启发秦汉帝国不断经略四方，把广阔地域上各古老的人群联系在一起，形成新的民族融合，共同前进。
