WITHOUT CONTEXT, THERE IS NO WAY TO DETERMINE THE VERY SENSE OF THE WORD THAT THE SPEAKER INTENDED TO CONVEY; WHEREAS WITH CONTEXT THERE IS GENERALLY NO DANGER OF MISINTERPRETATION, FOR MEANING LIVES IN CONTEXT AND THE CONTEXT DEFINES MEANING.
