Is an enquiry binding on the enquirer? What is a first enquiry, and what information should be given in it?

An enquiry is not binding on the enquirer. A first enquiry is an enquiry sent to an exporter whom the importer has never dealt with. Information should be given in the first enquiry as to how the name and address of the exporter have been obtained, thebusiness line and usual practice of the importer,etc. so as to facilitate the exporter* s work.
