（1）A euphemism is a mild, indirect or less offensive word or expression substituted when the speaker or writer fears more direct wording might be harsh, unpleasantly direct, or offensive.
（2）For example, we say“inexpensive”instead of“cheap.”
（3）Another example, we say“pass away"instead of“die.”
